While listening to the War on the Horizon last night, I heard a show entitled “Can the 21st Century Black Nationalist peacefully coexist with Black Christians, Black Jews and Black Muslims” and it sparked not only some interesting conversation but caused me to do some more internal consideration. The question was why hasn’t Garveyism gotten any traction? Why isn’t their a national organization for the Afrikan Nationalist/Garveyism movement that does not require a religious affiliation in the forefront? Honestly, there is a lot of rhetoric and idealism in the the Afrikan Nationalist/Garveyism movement at this time and very little organization and action especially on a national scale. So eventually those questions led to this question: What does the Afrikan Nationalist/Garveyism movement need to gain traction in Amerikkka right now. I came up with three things. These three are just a beginning and are not all inclusive but they will be a good start.
