Any person who says they know how this future unfolds is not being honest. We can not foresee the ultimate future of African American Pan Africanism no better than our the civil rights leaders of the 60s could forecast the ultimate results of integration.
One thing we need to do is utilize our American heritage and participate in America. In the past, whenever African Americans participated in America, we made gains toward nationhood. When we tried to bypass the levers that work America, we lost ourselves in America. By this I mean that we had to lose an African portion of ourselves to embrace what America was offering to give us.
So we must look at all of our wants through the lens of nationhood first and Pan Africanism second. Although, I recognize that more than 90% of our people will reject our ideas of nationhood and even more will reject Pan Africanism, most will follow behind the momentum of success. So the few will have to do the lifting of our people. And the most likely to assist will be the ones that are catching the most hell in the United States. Even if they can not help us with overt action, anyone can be an anonymous benefactor of financial support.
Nationhood was defined best by our esteemed Elder Dr. John Henrik Clarke:
